About my blog…

Hi, I’m Nick Robinson. Married with 2 children & two cats, I’ve been folding for about 30 years and have spent many of those as a professional origamist, writing books, teaching classes, doing commercial work etc.

This blog will allow me to put a slight distance between my personal thoughts about origami and my professional site. It will also allow me to talk about the people (living and dead), books and designs that I admire. I’ll try not to ramble, but can’t promise! Some of the reviews and articles are drawn from past issues of the BOS magazine, but most of it will be new.

I encourage any reader to chime in with their thoughts, there’s not enough healthy debate in origami, we can often praise everything indiscriminately for fear of upsetting individuals. If origami is to be taken seriously, it must be capable of self-analysis and constructive criticism! Even smart-ass, pithy, one-line responses are welcomed 😉
