A rapid-fire project, complete within a fortnight, including photographs and videos of each design! A simple brief, provide a selection of simple, traditional models (I sneaked in one of mine and one by Wayne Brown.) Alongside the book in the package are videos on a DVD (with my music!) entitled “Learn Origami”.
I shot the photos in my small studio at home and drove down to Surrey (on the hottest day of the year!) for the video shoot, courtesy of Stephen Gammond – we had a great time talking about music when not filming and a nice pint by the banks of the Thames rounded it off perfectly.
The mechanics of the book are that it was designed for the Works bargain chain and apparently did really well there. In some ways, I think it’s a better product than that and I’ve picked up a box-full to pass on to students at my classes. Despite the rapidity of the project, it looks really great and I’m proud of it.
